Today’s swap meet adventure netted some fine treasures. I went in search of wheel donors, and plenty of those I found, but these finds made the trip totally worthwhile.

A John Player Special Lotus Espirit, and the Mitsubishi Fuso Canter, rigged for duty as a Fire Department Searchlight truck. The Mitsu was found in a loose pile, and caught my eye by virtue of being a fire truck, but when I brought it up, I saw that it was a Tomica, was in great condition (for having been in a loose cars pile) and appeared to be complete.

The JPS Espirit was on display at another vendor, I wasn’t sure what it was at first, but when I picked it up and saw the “World Champion” gold stripes on the black body, immediately knew what it was. Cost $2.00, grumble grumble, but the rest of the day made up for it. Namely,

Majorette Pontiac Trans Sport!!! I saw this wedged into a tray from an old carry case, and was intrigued by the clear roof. It took a few tries to get it out of the tray, but when I did, had to have!!!

All that Dustbuster-y glory!! In pretty good shape, too...

Also, $0.50. Yep. Got a Playart Kubelwagen, missing its windscreen and what looks to be the spare tire on the front, just to bring it to $1.00 total.
Thanks for looking!!
