Here for T-Bird Thursday we have a 1957 model from the Matchbox Premiere Collection.
This car is pretty high quality and features plenty of extra detail.
These details are evident in the front, which has the painted T-Bird logo , the detailed lights, and the chrome on the hood bulge. There is a license plate spot at the front, but no license plate, which seems like mattel was being cheap.
The rear end is also pretty detailed, with painted lights, chrome, and a license plate. The rear end tire bulge is pretty poorly done.
The interior has a painted steering wheel and seats. The base of the car is plastic to allow for the chrome, and the plastic actually isn't that bad quality. The lack of side trim detracts from the way the car looks, but that could be fixed with a thin paint-pen.
These cars retail from 2 - 5 dollars on ebay, which seams like a good deal considering all of the detail. Overall, a pretty good model for the price.
