Lesney HAWL of th Century

Hey LaLD, it’s me again; long time no see. Anyway, I recently scored a few lots on AuctionZip.com at prices so low it’s almost theft. They’re all Lesney Matchboxes; 13 regular wheels and 2 Superfasts, one of which is a transistion model. For those not familiar with Lesney Matchbox, “regulat wheels” castings are the ones realeased before 1968 with skinny, realistic wheels. After 1968, Matchbox switched to wider, lower profile wheels which performed better on a HW-style track; these were branded as “Superfast.” However, between the two different versions, there were transition models; regular wheels castings with low profile tires, but these wheels were skinnier than Superfast wheels; they’re very similar to Tomica wheels. Anyway, without further ado, here are the results of my HAWL. These will all eventually get individual writeups.

John Deere tractor and trailer. The trailer originally would have come with yellow barrels, but they’ gone MIA at some point in it’s 50 years of existence. This is a rarer “grey wheels” version.

This part about this HAWL is the price. I paid $85 total for several different lots. There were 14 cars; that divides out to roughly $6 per car! Plus, they’re all complete, a rarity because the seperate tires are often missing. So, LaLD, which one of these do you want to see first?
