Finally managed to track down a Stratos, and scored Makkinen's Evo as a bonus. Bad news is my die cast rally collection now takes the full width of the mantle, which means I'll need to figure out a new display method for any future purchases...
Speaking of future purchases, there are already at least four more cars on the way. The Toyota is staying with me, as I've been trying to get a Sainz Castrol Toyota for a while (still need a Celica though).
The Makinen Cossie Escort, McRae Focus, and Solberg Championship Subaru are all purchases for the upcoming season of Fantasy WRC, along with a Delta Integrale I bought last year. Whichever car(s) aren't claimed as prizes will be added to the collection.
There's also one that's currently up in the air, this gorgeous little Mini from the 1967 Rallye Monte Carlo. Bidding doesn't end until tomorrow so I have to wait another 15 hours until I know if it's joining the family.
And, to make things even better, RENAULT ALPINE!
And then there's the one that got away. I ended up getting outbid in the final 15 minutes on this badass Lancer. Next time, ebay. Next time.
