Enginerrrrrrrrrrr and I worked out an awesome trade! He got my package some days ago, and yesterday his package arrived! Lot's of incredible stuff inside that hefty box :)
I also must say this was truly one of the fastest international parcels I ever received. It took only 22 days, which is lighning quick for Brazilian postal standards...
What could be inside that box?
Awesome casting! Matchbox left the brazilian market in 2009, and after that I could only see the new castings on the internet, never on the pegs. This is one of my favorite castings of the last years. The simple color scheme and MBX logo reminds me of the older Matchboxes, from the early 90's, when I was a kid.
A truly great HW Classics' Mustang Mach I. Gotta love that shade of green!
Another HW Classics! The pictures aren't good enough, I need to snap with sunlight, because that orange spectraflame is simply incredible. And dem redlines!
Just look at that yellow! Awesome!! Again, I need pictures with sunlight, because white lamps doesn't do justice to spectraflame finishes.
This is simple great! It'll make a pair with my autographed VW Drag Truck in orange (I'll post about that later). Awesome color!
Last Classics of the bunch. I love its funky waves with the blue!
Hot Wheels 100% '69 Chevelle! I love those detailed castings! Expect a review in the future!
Now this one is simple off the charts! I never had the opportunity of picking up an older Hot Wheels Collector's model, and now I understand why these are so beloved! The scale seems correct, because this wagon is waaaaay larger than the Chevelle, albeit in 1/64. There is so much detail there! I was surprised for the amount of detail Hot Wheels used to put on those collectors' models. HW 100%s are not this detailed.
This is the crème de la crème. There is a series of 4 models with Shell liveries with those display cases, and this is my second one. I have also a Ford Pickup with this livery. The colors, the livery, the details, the display... It's truly a special model.
But wait, there's something else! It's funny to think about the coincidences. We both work with space related stuff, and curiously we both sent sci-fi swag to each other! As you can see on Enginerrrrrrrr's post, I sent him some postcards and a Star Trek tie clip. He sent me this
The instant I saw this I felt like a little kid at christmas! I ran and called my girlfriend to tell about this! I was simply crazy after this model, which I couldn't find anywhere in Brazil, only in MercadoLivre (brazilian eBay) for prohibitive prices. I'm myself a fan of Battlestar Galactica, and this model was on my most wanted list. Now I just need to get the Cylon Raider to complete the bunch :)
Thank you so much, Enginerrrrrrrrrrr!!!! This trade was simply epic!!
