A DLM a day... [10]

... keeps the cards away! For the 10th entry of this series, a model you probably don’t know. The Honky Tonk Hot Rod was only released 2 times, both as RLC exclusives. My version is a “First Edition”, 2010 Real Riders, while the only other version available is a Neo Classics. Also, this is the only Hot Wheels model I know that comes facing left on the card by default.

While developing the model, Larry Wood shared each step of the production with RLC members, so this is the only model I have in my collection that I had followed the complete project, since drawings to the final version.

What else can be said? It’s a redneck hot rod, with bullet holes, a dead ox head, a big cowboy hat and an arm reaching a lever. Awesome!
