After Petrolicious showed us the story of the Howmet TX, they wrote up two more pieces about turbine cars (here and here). One of them caught my eye: The 1954 Fiat Turbina. Look how Flash Gordon-ey it looks!
This is one of the few diecast models of it I could find, on an Italian model shop. According to it, it’s made by SpecialC-47, a brand I never heard of but I love already for doing this car.

What’s even cooler about it is the fact it hadn’t only one turbine. This Fiat used 3! Two small turbines compressed the air to a bigger one, developing 220 hp @ 22k RPM.

I can only imagine how reliable is an Italian turbine car.
