Feijoada Friday Featurette - An Alfa Romeo Truck?

Almost! FNM, or Fábrica Nacional de Motores (National Engine Factory) was a Brazilian car and truck factory that made those trucks and Alfa Romeos under license. So this is as close to an Alfa Romeo truck we’ll ever get!

I’m digging this first photo, since a large amount of those FNMs worked on farms, and this freshly cut dry grass looks like a harvested crop!

Even though it wasn’t quite a true Alfa, this was FNM logo, clearly inspired by the Italian cross/man-eating-snake badge.

With two gearboxes and two gear levers, driving a FNM gave a whole new sense to the term double clutch. It had separated reduced and normal gearboxes, and the driver needed to take both hands out of the wheel sometimes:
