Truck Tuesday Trifecta, triple Ts! There are actually two Chevrolet 3100s, also called Chevrolet Brasil. The blue and white from DeAgostini and the tow truck from Eaglemoss, from a very short-lived series called “Nossas Queridas Picapes” (Our Beloved Pick-up trucks). The SUV is called Chevrolet Amazonas, built over the Brasil chassis.
With a unique style, it’s called Brasil because it was, indeed, the first GM truck made here. It was introduced in 1958 and produced until ‘64, when it was replaced by the C-10. Not only pickup and SUV versions, a double cab called Alvorada and a panel van called Corisco were also made.
Salvat made a Chevrolet Alvorada for their Chevrolet Collection, but I couldn’t get one. The Corisco, however, wasn’t made by anyone.
Not much time for writing a lot, so it’s more like a photodump. Enjoy!
