Pretty amazing, if you ask me. For those that don’t know, Amalgam probably makes the absolute finest car models in the world.
Their 1:8 McLaren F1 starts at $10,160, but luckily is the same price for either the F1, the F1 LM and the F1 GTR either with Harrolds or Ueno Clinic liveries. On top of that, if you want a custom exterior and interior color, custom wheels and want to choose the freaking caliper color, you can handle them $11,360 for a bespoke (how British) model.
But if you’re a disciple of Kristen Lee from Jalopnik and money isn’t a problem, you can order a Bespoke Plus, to funlly customize it on whatever way you want. They don’t even put a price on this on their website.
The model page states that the vanilla F1 took 2800 to develop, with each model consuming a good 300 hours to make. 1:8 seems a bit hard to imagine the size, so they also say the model is precisely 60 cm long.
Their entire lineup is just great. It’s completely out of my price range, this model costs way more than I paid for my 1:1 (!!!), but it’s nice to know this exists.
Finally, as far as I know, they’re the only company that dares making 1:4 models. They’re totally bonkers, with the cheapest ones running for over $14k.
