I was greeted with sad news this morning. In two days it rained more than what was expected for the entire month in Florianópolis, southern Brazil, and my lab was flooded. I had a few models there, temporally on a low drawer, and this is how I found them:
Lots of equipment were damaged, on several laboratories. The waterline is roughly 30cm high, a bit less than 1 ft. These models can be replaced, but the equipment... At least my computer (with my Ph.D. data) is safe.
I got 6 models flooded. I will open them and wash the mud off. I hope the flooding didn’t destroyed the decals.
