First off - I know I said I'd be selling off that pile of models by now (see post here: http://liveandletdiecast.kinja.com/newer-member-i… ) but work and travel got in the way. I just got to the point where I have time to take pics - but I want to be sure I'll be home enough to ship orders in a timely manner. Don't despair, the sale is still coming, in August for sure. I also found some old diecast I have hoarded over the years, and will include little bonus gifts with each order - nothing of high retail value, but we all know retail value doesn't match intrinisic value.
Anyway, time for my first review. In the "hawl" linked above, one can see a small scale Citroen. I like this model a lot, so here it is in my first review.
The Majorette casting of the Citroen CX, scale 1:60, was introduced in 1979. This is a quality casting with a metal base. The gold color is very "period correct", and the three spoke wheels look good for the era, too.
Majorette didn't use many tampos on passenger cars at the time, just nicely detailed castings, including actual taillight lenses in this case:
Detail is nice for a small scale model of this era, including opening doors and the correct single spoke steering wheel:
