[REVIEW] Siku Ferrari 288 GTO

A few days ago, I hinted on a post that my next review would be German. Here it is, a German casting of an Italian car. This is Siku 1060, the lovely Ferrari 288 GTO. This model entered the lineup in 1985. I estimate the scale to be 1:55-1:60.

This model has the typical Siku 80s style wheels, kind of a lettered whitewall with white spokes. Unusual.

This is a somewhat thick and heavy casting - lots of metal, metal base, nothing opens. Even the paint seems very sturdy.

A cool feature on Siku of this era, vehicle specs on the base:

The Siku brand is still alive in Europe, esp German speaking areas, it had a short life in NA. I remember them being available around 1985-90, usually priced 3-4x typical Matchbox or Hot Wheels, under the "Eurobuilt" line, which contained many semi trucks and heavy vehicles.
