[REVIEW] Siku Porsche 959 - Bonus Labor Day Edition

The Siku I posted yesterday went over surprisingly well, so here is its mate. I link the 959 and 288GTO, as when I was a kid, I had BBurago models of both, the fancier 1:24s with rubber tires. I purchased them at the same time, and it seemed meant to be.

This 959 is the same color as the GTO. This is Siku 1068, introduced to the range in 1987. It is another thick and heavy casting, solid metal all around, those memorable 80s wheels with slight suspension feel. This seems larger than the GTO, I would estimate scale around 1:53 or so.

Porsches and VWs seem to be hard to proportion correctly in miniature, Siku did a nice job with this.

Interior seems more detailed than the Ferrari, seats and steering wheel appear to be correct shapes (hard to photograph):
