[REVIEW] Tomica Honda Beat

A little early today, as, like many of us, I have family things to do later. A quickie photo shoot with my phone and inconsistent lighting produced results not much worse than my normal attempts, fun. I posted this model in a group of others a couple weeks ago, and some expressed some interest, so here you go. Think of this as a yellow Easter egg. This is Tomica 72, the Honda Beat, introduced to the range in 1991 - in my collection, this is a newer model. As expected from Tomica, the detail and proportion are pretty nice:

I bought this casting around 20 years ago, I am sure it was still in production, but I suspect it was gone before the 90s ended. It's 1:50 scale - kind of a large scale, but the real car is pretty small, so it is a normal sized diecast. It's a cute little thing:

I think this is the beginning of the era when Tomica castings started to become a little softer, with paint replacing lenses, etc.

Back in the day, I performed some superdetailing on a few spots and inside, just silver paint, I think a type my brother used for detailing little metal figures, I think it is easily removable:

The box survived, a little worse for wear - maybe should iron it out (a trick used by Matchbox collectors):

Less undercarriage detail than castings from the 80s, but still Made in Japan:
