[REVIEW] Tomica BMW 3.5 CSL

Tomica time again. The last Tomica featured here was an American car, before that a Japanese car, so today we keep the variety going and examine a German car. Small Scale Sydney posted a Welly copy of this model, and AmitB is the resident old school BMW fanboy, so this should find some appeal. This is Tomica F30, the BMW 3.5 CSL (E9). This model entered the range in September, 1977, and remained in production for several years. It was made in at least 10 distinct variations. As typical for old Tomica, it is a quality piece:

Scale claims 1:60, appears accurate. It is well done from all angles, and sits on the excellent 4 spoke racing/competition style black wheels:

Doors snap shut with typical Tomica precision, suspension is nice and springy, which makes the car roll smooth as glass. Interior is well done, set up for racing with the lack of a passenger seat etc:

Front and rear are also nice, as expected. Side decoration tampo, hood and roof sticker:

Just a sharp little casting all around. Not particularly rare, anyone who wants one should be able to find one. Boxed models seem less common than carded or loose. I am happy to have it:
