[REVIEW] Wiking Tatra 87

Maybe call this Surprise Saturday. Last week I posted an HO model, and this week I have a few free minutes and am breaking in a new computer, so I will use this to be my first review from the new machine. Today we have another HO scale gem, the Tatra 87, from Wiking. As expected, detail and proportion are excellent:

From all angles, this finned wonder is fantastic. This could pass for a much larger scale model if one didn’t know it was a tiny 1:87 example:

Front and rear are just as fine - even the 3 piece windshield is represented well:

Probably hard to tell, but the interior is accurate, I think the steering wheel is even correct:

Another one I am happy to have. I found this at a toy show for a few bucks - no box, and it has a little wear at the window gutter line. However, I couldn’t pass it up as I like prewar Tatras, and German HO models tend to be top notch:
