[REVIEW] Tomica Toyota Land Cruiser

Tomica time again. Everyone seems to love the FJ40, here’s a casting of one from when they were still a contemporary vehicle. This is Tomica 2-2, the Toyota Land Cruiser. This model entered the range in May 1975, and was made until August 1979. It is a good representative piece of the golden age of Tomica:

This casting has plenty of fine detail, as expected. Scale claims to be 1:60, and this appears to be accurate. This model features the snap-shut doors, clean glazing, and springy suspension that makes Tomica of this era so appreciated. From all angles, there’s no doubt what it is:

Base has some detail and is metal, which gives this heft and a quality feel:

No box, but a rugged vehicle like this is fine outside of a box anyway. Definitely a must for the collector of old Tomica, and I am glad to have this one:
