A Fiat yesterday, and another today. What will we see tomorrow? I just noticed today’s theme, and I instantly thought of a model with patina. This is the Lone Star Road-Master Impy Fiat 2300S. This car is from around 1965, has seen a lot of miles and needs a lot of work, needs a few small parts, but it would make a good project car:
As one can see, over time, this has become kind of a lightweight special, good for racing. The seats appear to be in good shape. It appears to need little structural work, and could easily be put back on the road with just a little elbow grease:
Grille is straight, ample trunk space, and those thin rear pillars survived:
The undercarriage is all there:
It only needs doors, hood, trunk, a little A-pillar work, glass, steering wheel, headlights - and you’ll be good to go - these parts should be easy to find at any auto parts store or junkyard. Or, drive as-is for a breezy open air racer. I think I found this ages ago in a free box at a yard sale, and couldn’t leave it there. Someone got their money’s worth out of this car.
