Time again for something different. Today we examine another accessory item. This is Lesney Matchbox A3a, the Accessory Pack Garage. It is exactly as it claims, a cast metal residential style garage. The quality is what one would expect from a Lesney product of this era:
This cast metal building was introduced in 1958, and remained in production until 1964. This is an unusual accessory in the diecast car world, but one that has a lot of play value. The entirety of the piece is metal, including the opening doors:
There is plenty of brickwork detail on all sides:
The base is marked in a style typical of Lesney Matchbox products of this era:

Based on box type, this example was likely made between 1958-60, appropriate for the castings pictured above. The garage also came with a metal clip that was used to link garages together - mine, as many today, is missing this. Definitely a cool piece that I am glad to have.
