Surprise Saturday: Finds in Canada

This weekend I am in Vancouver, and I have been lucky enough to find a few things. I visited a vintage toy store and a popular local automobilia place, and actually found a few things that I wanted, and were reasonably priced.

First, these cool Siku from the toy store:

I’ve always had a slight thing for the Audi C2, and who can resist a bright gold 2 door cabrio early run G-Wagen? I saw these and couldn’t leave them. It’s going to be tough not to DLM these. These are on perforated short cards, which may have been a Euro or worldwide thing - for general NA distribution, Siku were on a “Eurobuilt” titled card in the 80s. Siku is still on short cards in Europe. The back shows a lineup that seems to be early 80s:

At the automobilia place, I actually found a Tomica. I have a couple of the Esprit in black, now I have one in silver. No box, but it is mint, and the price was fair enough:

I also found a fintail book I don’t already have:

I stopped at a Wally World to pick up a few things, and saw they have the fancy Majorette here. Not sure if anyone is interested, but it caught my eye. Majorette lived on in Canada longer than in the US, but I think it has been gone here since about the year 2000, too:

No April Fool’s stuff from me - I don’t believe I’d trick anyone into believing I am clearing out my collection for $1/model :)

That is all.
