Another 80s car coming right up. This is Tomica 22-3, the Nissan Pulsar Coupe EXA. This casting entered the range in April 1983, and is a car once common that is now seldom-seen:
This is an excellent little casting of a now-obscure car. I remember these angular things being in high school parking lots in the early 90s, but can’t recall the last time I saw one. As usual for Tomica, this model features excellent detail and proportion, and has a pleasing metallic blue finish with accurate lower body tampos. Scale is claimed to be 1:60, likely accurate. This model features the snappy door action, crisp glazing, and springy suspension we all enjoy from the brand. This is from what I call the “sunroof era”, and the sunroof on this casting adds further realism. From all angles (and there are many on this car), one can imagine 80s pop coming from the tape deck inside:
