Back another decade into the 70s, and another little jewel from Tomica. This is the Mitsubishi Galant 2000GSR:
Another period 1:64 ish casting, which entered the range in 1977 as Tomica 18-3, seen some time ago- I was overwhelmed with choices for this decade thanks to my Tomica hoard, but going through my pics, this one needed to be seen again. I enjoy the Japanese 2 door hardtop fixation of the 70s, and I think this is a fairly attractive car. These were even sold for a few years in North America as captive Mopar imports, Dodge Challenger and Plymouth Sapporo. Tomica captures it with precision, and the color suits it, almost a coppery glow. One can imagine hopping into it while wearing corduroy slacks and a shirt with a funny slogan or wide lapels, as driving off with Kool and the Gang on the radio. This is an uncommon casting, and is something to behold - worthy of seeing those pics again:
