I affectionately call these my cheap dates. They are the casts that are easy to pick up for next to nothing and usually have been passed around like a bottle of Crown at a bonfire. I guess the low expectations of a cheap cast leave something more to be desired and they wind up on the garage sale table.
Most I have found have been sort of knock offs of much better casts by established brands. That certainly does not help their lot in life what so ever. Still I can’t help but enjoy these. Some Have cool features just to keep form stepping on trademarks and some are so bland they are novelties in their own mediocrity.
If you have any of these strange outcasts feel free to share. I personally love finding them and enjoy combing over the sort of reverse engineering it took to create them. The subtle differences in them. Those 3 Lamborghini’s at the top (for example) are all different casts though undoubtedly from the same evolutionary branch.
