I’m in the process of recreating the derelict Mustang I made for a friend because I fell in love with it (Picture Bellow) . Still needs a matte-clear coat but she’s about there. I thought since I have the time I’d post a quick how to on splattering mud and tar down the side of a Hot Wheel. Its an easy way to customize a and never looks bad in my opinion. If someone has already posted this method just let me know. Not trying to step on anyone’s toes.

All you need is simple house held items. A toothbrush, Sake cup and spray paint. For this I’m using a brown paint but you can use any shade of gray, brown or black. Layer it even if you feel bold.

Spray the paint into the sake cup and dip the tip of your brush. You don’t have to shake the can so much as the less it mixes into a solid color the more color variety you’ll get out of the paint.

Just hold the nylon bristles down with your thumb and slide it off of the brush. works best if you hold the diecast in your other hand but I’m double tasked with taking this photo.

Not the best example using one hand but you get the idea. you can move the brush closer or farther away to get the results you desire. It will rub off if you handle the cast too much so if you want it to stay forever just give the cast a clear coat.
