450 SEL-ectivity

I Picked up this Tomica Mercedes at a flea market a few months back for just a dollar. She’s not in pristine condition but you’d have to look close to see the few nicks on the body and windows. I wanted to give it a rolled fender sort of look and swap out the Tomica button wheels for something more substantial. Took a lot more effort than I had anticipated but it was completely worth it in my opinion. The hard part was grinding away at the inner fenders to get the wheel stance right. Tomica purists please don’t hate me. I know these are not easy to find but the button wheels are to me the one let down of Tomica’s beautiful casts. She’ll be displayed with my others.
