For those familiar with my collection you can agree this isn’t a typical car that I would collect. It’s not red and it’s a Nomad! This is a 1:18 scale die-cast by M2 Machines from the Ground Pounders series.
What really attracted me to this model were the wheels!!! It has over-sized stock ‘57 Chevy hubcaps, compete with spinners!!!! The first time this car showed up on eBay I think the seller wanted $120 or something crazy. I scoured the internet and even M2 Machines’s website and I could find no mention of it. But I just couldn’t justify that much $$$ for a non-red ‘57 Chevy!!!
Shockingly, a few months later another one came up but the price was still high, then this one came up a few months ago, $40 I think is all I paid. Now it’s quite the curious model in that nothing opens, no interior, but it’s VERY heavy.
This is EXACTLY how it came out of the box, no modifications have been done by me.........YET!
I really haven’t decided 100% what my future plans for this model are:
- The orange isn’t that far away form red so I am tempted to just leave it
- Maybe add white walls to the wheels?
Anyone else have any thoughts on this? The do make a 1:64 scale that’s the same color and VERY common BUT the wheels are typical hot rod so I’ve totally passed.
