Nothing new to show this time(unless the 356A Outlaw in the pic above counts), but rather, I’ve been thinking heavily about Hot Wheels and Matchbox and the great stuff that is out or is coming. Sure, those specific models are not easy to find in stories, and I doubt I’ll ever find that Matchbox Skyline, but the point is, it’s a thing or going to be a thing. There are some really great castings out and coming out for 2016. Hot Wheels has the 356A Outlaw, the ‘17 Raptor, the ‘16 Shelby GT350R, the ‘17 Acura NSX, the Custom ‘01 Acura Integra, and more. Upcoming, we have that vintage BMW race car, the ‘17 Ford GT, a vintage Alfa via Entertainment, and so on. Oh, we also have the new Car Culture line. For upcoming Matchbox, it has the already mentioned Skyline, the new Miata convertible, the upcoming Volvo wagon, plus the return of Mercedes. Also, let’s not forget other great Matchbox models from 2015 like the Tesla.
What’s my point? I feel it’s a rather great time to be an HW or MBX collector. Sure, we have to battle scalpers and hoarders, and sure, we definitely could use more real cars(especially in the HW basics), but, the fact is great models are out or coming. It goes beyond these brands, with the return of JL and Racing Champions as well. Anyway, I needed to get that out of my mind, but, enough about what I think. What do you think? Do you agree?
