Hot Wheels that deserve the premium treatment(not counting Supers) or a new premium release.

As I said in my last post, I ordered a set of Modern Classics. It’s an awesome release, but, I couldn’t help but think that the Jaguar XJ220 or heck, even the McLaren F1 GTR should have been included. Granted, those kind of supercars are probably worthy of their own Car Culture release, and the F1 debuted as a premium, albeit a now very expensive premium. However, this did get me thinking about mainline Hot Wheels that, in my opinion, should get the premium treatment. The Pagani Huayra would have been my first pick, but, that’s getting a premium release in Entertainment.

Anyway, not counting STH variants or any 2018 New Models, here are some of the Hot Wheels that I think should get a premium release or a new premium release.

Pagani Huayra Roadster. Like the original Huayra, Hot Wheels did a great job on it.

Mercedes-Benz AMG GT. Another great new model from this year

C7 Corvette. Another new model they did decent on.

‘17 Camaro ZL1. Unless Greenlight releases their own, I’m including it on my wishlist.

Jaguar XJ220

Porsche 917K. Entertainment. Gulf. Le Mans. That is all.

Lamborghini Huracan

2016 Ford Shelby GT350R

Shelby GT500 Super Snake.

2017 Acura NSX

McLaren F1 GTR. To be honest, I’m not gonna hold my breath, as we’re lucky enough just to see this in the mainline after this long.

McLaren P1. This is a fairly decent casting. Why not?

‘90 Acura NSX. To be honest, trying to find anything Japanese by Hot Wheels on the pegs is like trying to find a Super these days. Nevertheless, might as well put the castings to good use.

‘17 Nissan GT-R R35. Same as above. Also, because I actually found that ‘09 GT-R from the Gran Turismo premium release on the pegs.

Lamborghini Murcielago. Fate of the Furious, anyone?

Subuaru WRX STI. Could easily include one in Entertainment as a F&F car. We always get a basic F&F. Let’s see some of em in Entertainment.

Toyota Supra. Same idea with the Subaru.

Nissan 350Z. The one DK drove in Tokyo Drift.

Off Road Dodge Charger. This might lose it’s suspension if it got a Premium release, but, it would be really cool.

That’s all I can think of at the moment. Let’s see your premium wishlist.

Also, this is why Car Culture is such a great series. Lots of possibilities, especially with at least one new model debuting in most releases.
