DTG11 Sent me this along with the actual Hot Wheels Wienermobile(!) as part of Secret Super. Of course I don’t have a disk drive, but I have had it sitting on my desk for a few months now. This artifact from the 90s continues to taunt me: What kind of space adventures does a hot dog have? How loosely is the term “interactive” being used in relation to “snack bar”? Mostly, though, what about “Cool Collector Facts!”? Does this 3.5" floppy disk contain some forgotten, secret knowledge?

I think I’ve finally found the solution! Behold, the Hot Wheels PC of 1999! Completely restored to its original un-glory by the misleadingly named “Lazy Game Reviews” (it sounds like this guy has spent hours and hours getting this to work), the Hot Wheels computer was so terrible - and so terribly manufactured by a defunct company called Patriot Computers - that I found this description, courtesy of the Personal Computer Museum website:

According to the sales brochure, this “Designed specially for Boys”32x CD-Rom packing computer retailed for $899 (Canadian) or “Just $22.49 a Month”

Here’s the Lazy Game Reviews YouTube video. More are promised, including a detailed restoration which is described as “Really just 20 Minutes of me getting angry”. Definitely subscribe to his channel.

I’m so glad to know this exists.
