Busy times for one of our favorite diecast companies!
Greenlight has licensed the movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) for their Hollywood line-up.
A classic horror film, but its automotive cameos were not terribly notable. From the Internet Movie Car Database, the movie has appearances by:
1953 Chevrolet 3100
1971 Chevrolet C-Series
1972 Ford Club Wagon
1960 VW Type 1
1967 VW Type 1
GL most obviously added this film for another branding of their Chevy C-100 casting. Previously released in red as the ‘68 model for their 100th Anniversary of Chevy Trucks line, expect to see an updated ‘71 model in blue.
As for the other cars from Chainsaw Massacre... a whole lot of meh, honestly. Depending on the hue, the ‘60 Beetle might inspire an impulse purchase if discovered on the pegs, but it’s not like the diecast world is in any way hurting for VW Beetle castings.
