The absolute best and worst from Volkswagen (ever).
The Nardo W12 & the “New” Beetle. Do I need to say which is best and which is worst?
The W12 is a Road Signature by Yatming 1/72. Beetle by Maisto 1/50something.
I love the little touches on the W12. Red floor boards, nicely detailed engine, they even put some effort into the shocks at the base of the windshield. Strangely they have the exact same badge on the front. Same size, appears to be the same tampo. The only nice touch on the Maisto Beetle is that badge.
I’ve never liked the new Beetle. The brand new ones at least have a better shape, but these earlier cars were about as bland as a car can get.
I remember seeing pictures of the W12 in magazines in high school. Stunning! The giant one piece of glass was my favorite part. This is my 7th Road Signature car, and due to the horrible quality control on the wheels it will be my last. One badly cast wheel on each side.
