Apart from the typical drag races like last time, this second event attracted more people and offered up more unique and head-turning cars such as this:

This one-eyed Ford Falcon police car came all the way from Australia packing a twin turbo V8 producing over 900hp to show everyone some thunder from down under.

However, despite the street is closed off by police so enthusiasts can legally drag race. The street isn’t like the perfectly paved blacktop as the drag strip with things such as cracks from daily wear and tear. As the Falcon soon learned the hard way.

The owner decided to install drag slicks before the race, a crack on the road with some moisture trapped within upset the slick tires, the car fishtailed and slammed into a guardrail. No one was injured and the car was able to drive back to the start line under it’s own power, the only damage were fluid leaks and twisted sheet metals.

The owner was undeterred from the crash, despite the damage the owner asked for assistance from Michael the shop owner/mechanic to help him take all the damaged body panels off, patch up the leaks, and he went right back out there doing 1/4 mile long burnouts for everyone

Comparing to the previous event, this time it got a little out of hand. But everyone still had a great time. And that makes it a success. Perhaps for the next event Michael will consider a more Concours d’ Elegance style.
