When I recently acquired the elusive 180SX, something always bothered me. Those wheels, I know there are chrome lipped wheels IRL but on this car it made it look cheap so something needs to be done. I grabbed my trusty markers and the begin makeover.
While recolor the wheels, I decided to detail the front of the car as well.
For the back I added a bit of black for the middle part of the spoiler (not a factory option, just my own touch) to make this already handsome casting even sharper.
At this point the Chevy Vega is getting a bit jealous, so it get some cosmetic tweaks as well.
First some headlights
And then blacked out the hood and front splitter. Now I know someone out there is going to say only the cowl of the hood gets the black treatment etc. No need to worry because this is actually a DIY vinyl job so it can be peeled off. If you guys like it and want to do this to your cars, let me know and I’ll do a separate post on how I made it. It’s super easy and the possibilities are endless.
