Meldet Sich Zum Dienst

This is officially my first custom for 2016, I had mixed feelings when I got the BMW M5 police car from MBX. I prefer a regular M5 without the liveries and light bar but it’s still a BMW and an M5 at that so it still got a passing grade from me. Since most tampos are police livery so no headlight or taillight details, on the plus side the tampos that drench this car are appropriate and pretty accurate unlike MBX’s sister company *cough* Hot Wheels! *cough*

After some work to address the missing details, here is the result

The M5 got a full detail treatment and then some, it’s got detailed headlights, blue light bar, side vents, and the iconic “Kidney Grills”

It also received the BMW Roundel on the center of the wheels, the first time I attempted this.

The back also received the Roundel treatment and of course taillights and rear reflectors. The winged LED design for the taillights is a bit tricky and so it’s put on hold for now until I acquire more precise equipment to do this job right. I could’ve detailed the exhausts too but I want to imagine this M5 have lightweight titanium exhaust made by famous high performance exhaust company Akrapovic which has carbon fiber exhaust tips making it all black.

Now the M5 is ready to be on patrol and already caught it’s first victim:

The driver was cited for not signaling while changing lane and being an absolute disgrace to the human race ( because Prius).

Since this is still a new car and the officer is required to know and get used to that twin-turbo V8 under the hood, which can unleash 580hp at the disposal of his right foot. Since this is a German police car in Germany, which means there’s is only one place that can test both the car and officer to their limit on public roads: Autobahn

While testing came across a rather unusual car in Germany, a Charger Hellcat which is a direct competitor to the German super sedan, will it get pulled over?

Nope, instead the M5 got in front, use the siren and lights to clear up some traffic so both drivers can have a shot at Vmax, curious to know the results.

As always if anyone want to see more close ups of the M5 just comment below, later.
