Birthday HAWL

Towards the end of April, my uncle private messaged me on Facebook asking me what is my mailing address in the states. I was a little perplexed since it’s such an out of the blue question. I told him and asked why, he said he got something for me. Fast forward to last Saturday when I received a package that was from him and I finally knew what it was. And now, it’s May 15th I decide to share it with you all on my B-Day.

I’ve featured 7-11 Taiwan promotion diecasts before and the recent Hypercar Collection series is by far the most popular as it’s been featured a couple of times here and many of you loved the set including me. So let’s take a quick look.

The attention to detail is impressive as usual from Grani & Partners, take the McLaren 675 LT for example where the titanium half cage is included in the interior piece.

Another cool feature are the display plinths have hologram stickers underneath them as proof they’re official license products.

“No! I want to assemble this one!”

Due to the opening feature for the Pagani and Bugatti lineup, they’re held together with just one screw, while the McLarens get the traditional two. The two most difficult cars from this set to assemble are the Bugatti VGT and the Zonda Cinque Roadster with a lot of intricate parts where you have to be careful on where to hold the car otherwise risk snapping parts off.

45 minutes (including time to add details) and whole bunch of trash later:

I’m absolutely ecstatic and grateful on getting these as my Birthday present from my uncle. I was planning to pull the trigger and order a set online since I’m not spending time in Taiwan this summer. The set is fantastic, but I reckon better color choices for the Bugattis and model choices such as replacing the P1 with the GTR version or the normal Veyron for a Grand Sport version would make this series above and beyond. I’ll do up close features on these soon.

Thanks uncle!
