It’s the last day of 2018 meaning countdown to the new year and also countdown of some of my best acquisitions.
I won’t include the cars I got from secret santa as I’ll do a separate post about them follow by individual features of each car.
Starting with number 10 is the Porsche Cayenne Turbo from Majorette. One of my top 5 favorite castings from Majorette.
Number 9 is an interesting one as I never posted this cast before, it’s the Toyota Crown Van, yes they call it a van even though its more station wagon. And that’s why I love it.
Number 8 goes to the Porsche 918 Spyder by HW. A beautiful re-tool that HW should’ve made in the first place.
Number 7 goes to the Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato by HW. A car that slipped away from me when I wasn’t big into collecting and ended up haunting me for years until earlier this year it finally became a stable in my collection.
Number 6 goes to the Lexus LFA by Tomica Premium.
Number 5 is the EK9 Civic Type R by TLV. The execution of the car is perfect from the red bucket seats to the red logos on the wheels.
Number 4 goes to the elegant Mercedes AMG VGT by Majorette.
Number 3 is the Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster. This car I got courtesy of my uncle as a birthday present as part of a 12 car series
Number 2 also goes to Pagani with the crazy Zonda Revolucione
Finally, my best and wildest acquisition from 2018 goes to the Bugatti VGT. I know to some it’s not the prettiest car but it certainly is breathtaking and the fact it’s available in 1/64 scale makes it even more special.
So that wraps up my top 10 for 2018. This was an extremely difficult list to come up with, even more challenging than the list for 2017 as there were a lot of heavy hitters this year. I’m sure a lot of you may find the rankings controversial for some cars and may question why some cars like the Porsche 917LH didn’t make the cut. But there were many factors I had to consider such as value and detail. The Porsche, Sport Quattro and even the Dodge Demon would’ve made the list if I could include more than 10.
