It was the manufacturers first LeMans entry since 1993. From 2007-2010 it won 19 of 28 races it entered. Powered by a 100° 5.5L twin turbo V12 was making over 730hp/890lb-ft. It moved its 930kgs around pretty good. During the 24 hours of LeMans the team almost lead the entire race. The #8 car had issues with the doors in the pits, that caused them to finish 3rd. It beat the Audi R10 TDI in qualifying, but it finished behind the Audi R10 TDI after 359 laps.
