I don’t know about you, but Friday night is usually take-away night. Fish’N Chips, Pizza, Kebab, Chinese, whatever. But after a long week at work, no one around here wants to cook.

And it’s the same for the boys in the garage, who were just fanging it for a Pizza after a long day of fixing the Hemi. And for a change, the Pizza arrived hot as the delivery guys’ ride didn’t break down this time.

The car needs no introduction - but it went by 12 different names! And that’s not even counting the Cooper editions. So what’s this one called? The Rover Mini! This marks it out as being made between 1988 and 2000.

The model is by Siku, as you might have guessed. And it is pretty typical of that brand, pretty chunky for a 3 inch car, and with the usual quality feel about it that is typical of that German brand. And as per usual, Siku avoids anything that might be considered too flash or exciting, like, say, metallic paint or fancy wheels. That’s just not Siku,

A bit unusual for Siku is the lack of any opening features - they normally work in at least one. But not here. The decoration of the car is, however, rather outlandish by their standard. One of the reasons I desperately wanted it. The other reason is that I love Taxis - Pizza or otherwise.
