Nothing much there that gets me excited, I’m afraid. There is the new #12, the new model Toyota Alphard - which looks an awful lot like the previous Toyota Alphard, and that certainly wasn’t an exciting looking machine ...
The new #31 brings the Toyota FJ Cruiser casting back as a Mountain Rescue Vehicle. That doesn’t really tick my boxes either, but at least the paint job is realistic and it will please the Emergency Vehicle collectors.
The most interesting new models for me come (surprisingly) from the new Toy Story franchise. I’m not usually a fan of these franchise type things, but there are two that caught my eye - I just might click the order button for one or both.
The WWII style Jeep with Soldier - who didn’t have at least one that looked like that floating around as a kid? I know I did. I think it was made from some sort of rubber. It’s long lost.
And even better - the little Alien in a Capsule (“The claw...The claw!) Too funny.
But the retail price for these is JPY 1,000 - that currently converts to US$ 8.30. And then you need to ad postage. Maybe I’ll just get the Alien? We’ll see.
