I was lucky today as a brand new case of both Hot Wheels and Matchbox just had landed at my Supermarket. As for Hot Wheels, I already had all I needed except the Porsche Outlaw - bingo, got that. But it was the first time I had seen that case of MBX, so there were a few things I needed.

The Cherokee Trailhawk was a surprise for me - I didn’t know that one was coming out. Equally, I didn’t know there would be two colours in the one case. First time I’ve seen MBX do that with a new casting. There were four red ones in the case, but only one of the blue version - so that will definitely be the rarer one.

I’m not the biggest fan of the current Jeep design - but as it is a new casting, I couldn’t resist adding it to my collection. Plus the details on the model are pretty decent for an MBX, though the absence of B and C pillars make it look a bit cheaper than it needs to be.

I also grabbed the Alfa 4C in dark grey - classy.

I left the disfigured Land Cruiser - a shame what they’ve done to that casting. Oh well, you win some you lose some.
