Teutonic Tuesday: A first look at the Tomica Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7

We might be only half way through 2017, but I think I can already cast a vote for my favorite release of the year: This one.

I think Tomica have done a very fine job with this one - and it’s good to see the Premium line now going from strength to strength.

The details are right, the tampos spot on. Considering the price point, this model is terrific.

Nothing at all to bemoan then? Not really. Of course, I would have wanted TLV style wheels and interior, but that’s not going to happen with a Premium release. Also, this one is 1/61 scale - that might disappoint some who worry about scale accuracy. But most 3-inch collectors can live with that.

I’m sure we will see a lot more of this bad boy here. Who knows, maybe even some customs?
