Lately a lot of my posts seem to start with something like “I normally don’t, but...”. And here’s another one.
So I normally don’t buy cars based on digital games, but - I’ve made an exception before with the Nissan, and now with this one too. I just think it looks great.
Alpine’s virtual wonder is a single-seater with a carbon monocoque, double wishbones, pushrods, adjustable springs and dampers, a seven-speed sequential gearbox and a 4.5 liter V8 that revs to 7,500rpm and sends 450 horsepower and 427 foot pounds of torque to the rear wheels.
And like the Alpine A120, this one has enough visual clues to link to the old Alpine race cars, without looking like one of those awful retro cars that other makers have unleashed on the market.
And Majorette have done a really fine job with this 1/64 model of it - and the color choice is perfect too IMO.
If this is any indication of future Alpine design, all I can say is: Bring It On.
