I felt the need to introduce myself, since I’m relatively new to LaLD (you can find me on Jalopnik and Lifehacker as a poster).
Thanks to Sn210, I can now share my lifelong love of diecast with everyone else here!
A little bit about me:
I’ve been collecting 1/18 scale diecast since 1992. Sadly, I do not have my first one (Maisto McLaren F1 in silver, ordered from Exoticar), but I do have quite a few of those and HW/Matchbox.
Most of my current collection is in boxes, from NIB to previously displayed. I’m still trying to figure out what the best solution is for displaying them, so in the interim, they currently reside in various closets and other storage areas throughout my house.
I have a shelf in one of my closets dedicated to my “project” diecasts, and I’ll be sharing my (horror) stories of repairing and modifying them.
