‘A View To A Kill’ indeed.
Back when the James Bond Car Collection 1/43 partworks car magazines were still available, I would buy up whatever model car was nice. And when the issue containing the Corvette C4 (my fave Corvette) from the James Bond movie ‘A View To A Kill’ (driven by a Russian, LOL) was out, I felt it was a sound investment. And boy, was it right.
Yes, the most glaring thing about the car the first time you lay your eyes on it is the awful Safari rally car-like stance. The model maker, Universal Hobbies, seem to make their James Bond cars’ ride height wrong. However, the interior comes with accurate intricacies, right down to the stitching for the seats!
On the exterior, the body seems to be proportionate, with the exception of the slightly blunt front overhang. I think it should be longer from the side view...? The turbine wheels seem alright enough. Tampo work is surprisingly good. Again, the ride height is questionable, but I guess for the cheap price i could turn a blind eye to it...
This may not be the most accurate Corvette C4 model out there, but it’s worth getting it to add to your car collection. I don’t normally buy Corvette models, but for the low price, I felt it was the right time to add this ‘Vette into my collection. Just overlook the minor issues and it’ll be alright.
