LaLD Car Week: 'Murcia Monday (1/64)

Finally time to showcase this Ford GT40 Mk II driven by Ken Miles/Dennis Hulme to 2nd place in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. This is a regular release by Kyosho from the “USA Sportscar Collection”.

As you can see, I have two of the same car. The one in mint condition was acquired in its packaging while the other was obtained loose and as is. The details, such as the lights, rear grille, and the crispness of the livery makes for an excellent scale model of the fabulous Ford racer.

As for the manner of acquisition: The mint car was swapped for a HW First Ed Hako plus P100 (US$2), while the loose car was paired with a HW 100% Ford Preferred GT-40 for P400 (US8).
