[Custom] Matte Black SRT Viper

Ah, the SRT Viper: a short-lived Phoenix of a storied sports car. With the announcement that Viper production will halt come 2017, the Viper faithful had another reason to be sad.

As a coincidence, this matte black snake had long been an WIP on my tabletop. Until last night, that is.

Going with the “murdered-out” look is gimmicky on some cars, but not the Viper. It fits the menacing character of the car; as if intently looking for an opportunity to pounce on its unwitting victim.

The hardest part of this mod was painting the taillights, as I had a hard time keeping the red paint away from the silver centers. Also if you look closely, the taillight surrounds as well as the front lower grille opening are painted gloss black.
