Hello LALD..ers new and returning and welcome to my weekly review of the past weeks best photo heavy features. My goal is to showcase the best, most original, highest quality, and most fun photos taken by members on here. Just because we are dealing with toys on here does not mean we aren't allowed to bring them to life! With the flow of quality posts on the blog combined with the daily photo contest held on our Facebook page we always have great content to bring you such as the picture below!
My lead image this week comes from a new poster by the user name Vicente-Esteve and his die cast demo post. This bug looks real in this picture so I love it. Be sure to check out his entire post here!
Beyond the blog LALD has a Facebook page along with a Twitter page so please be sure to take a gander! To showcase some features lets start with the Facebook contest.
Here is how it works. We started a contest and everybody posts up their best photos to vote on. A winner was chosen and then said winner posts up the next day as a judge for the next contestants. The next winner is the next judge so on and so on. Now we have themed days picked by the judge and everyone is having a lot of fun with it! The themes can be as random as you can think of and can be very abstract. It is up to the contestant to make it work. Here are the weeks winners:
August 13th - winner = Xin - theme = Hot Rods
August 15th - winner = Philip - theme = yellow
August 17th - winner = Ryan - theme = work vehicles
August 18th - winner = Bj - theme = Vans
August 19th - winner = Jeff - theme = purple
Today the theme is "anything but Hot Wheels" so be sure to enter if you haven't already. Winners are chosen late each day or early the next.
The blog has been on fire lately with a great variety of content which we always love. My favorite "variety" post this week comes from another new poster by the name of Matthew_AP and his showcase of a mean transforming Datsun. His picture sequence is truly fantastic! Check out the post HERE!
Keeping with the variety topic, our new-ish poster Eddie has been bringing us some of his favorite shot he has taken using Forza4 and Horizon. I also play this game and love the shots that users are able to capture using it. Here is my favorite from his post.

My favorite off the wall post comes from yet another new member Brickman and his review of a 1:18 F150 in camo. I love this because I live in the "kuntry" and drive by this type of truck multiple times daily. In the picture below the truck almost looks 1:1 scale...kind of. Full post here!
As always, TE71Xin hosts our ever popular Mopar Monday. This week his feature car is a 71 Road Runner which usually isn't the most popular body style but is so lovely in his pictures! His post HERE! This car definitely has my "coolest color" vote!
My own contribution comes from a custom 55' Chevy Gasser custom I did. The car just loved the camera and was very fun to build and shoot. Post here! My favorite pic from the bunch is below.
The next feature needs no introduction as it is the now world known Traveling Torchbug (EXPLOSIONS!!!) Sn210 brought the bug to of all places PEBBLE FREEKIN" BEACH for the Concours d'Elegance event!!!! (MORE SPLOSIONS!!!)
