CUSTOM! Slammed 55' Nomad! Flush inspired....

This weekend I finished up my project Nomad which started off simple but I soon got carried away. I had used the wheels and front suspension from this car to do a custom Gasser but was left with a majority of this car. I didn't want to let it go to waste so I came up with the idea to see how low I could get it, extremely is the answer!

I took the existing interior base and filed grooves for the axles to sit in as you can see in part 1 HERE

I then began to fit the axle/wheel combo to the body and try to get everything to clear and play nice which was not easy. I ended up going with Phipipphipip's idea and bending the axles for a Hella Flush look to combine to contrasting styles. This helped the wheels clear and made it even more unique.

Now, believe it or not this car actually rolls....

Once I finished with mock up, I glued the axles and painted the wheels and tires (not easy) to complete the look.

I painted the rear roof section and hood black to add more contrast.
