Hello LALD'ers and thank you for tuning into a late but none-the-less still Wednesday Photography Review. This week I have changed it up a bit and have left out a few posts I would normally try to highlight in order to focus on some less common type material. I have also left off the normal Facebook daily contest winners since there were only a few this week due to a lapse in posting which means that this review will be short but most definitely sweet! Here we go…
Boom…drops mic, this is a picture from Browndogwelding who is a common poster on Oppo' where he shares his truly incredible works of art with the world. Brown dog is a welder/fabricator by trade and somehow finds the time to create one-off hand-made spark-sewn heavy-metal vehicles! These are not kits or models but one of a kind works that are made from raw metal which is the reason I thought his works fit well on our blog. If you have never seen his works before, PLEASE check this one out. It is inspired from and old GMC COE work rig. His other creations range from bikes, to cars, to figures, to actual car and truck projects. Be sure to check out his website if you want some more!
The next order of business is the LALD October themed Photo Contest in which there are a few entries already!
First up is a shot from Jmildren who actually didn't know about the contest when he posted this AMAZINGLY fitting picture of a Datsun 510 Wagon next to some spooky figures!
Next is a photo from Frosted and a distorted looking train silhouette in front of a glowing pumpkin! A very very fitting shot as well!
Finally, vdubyajohn gave us some teaser or test photos of what he may be submitting for his entry. Which one is your favorite? By the way, this bug reminds me of the Torchbug.....WHERE IS IT!?!?
In one of my favorite posts this week Mathew_AP did a photoshoot of his newly acquired and red hot Fast and the Furious Hot Wheels cars in some dramatic lighting. The shot below brought on the feels.
His full post of more great shots is HERE!
To close out I wanted to share a post by alexb420 and his testing of photography. After all, this review is all about photography! His subject is an unknown scale Beetle as he tests different filters and lighting. Some simple yet well executed shots.
Give him some feedback on his original post HERE!
That is all for this week. Please be sure to check out the official rules for the October Photography Contest and submit a picture!
As always, last week HERE!
